Prof. Serdar Bedii OMAY, M.D. has worked in several facilities and non-governmentalorganizations in line with his commitment to using his knowledge and experiencegained through his scientific work to the public benefit. These institutions are:Turkish Society of Hematology, Turkish Association of Blood Banks and Transfusion,Japanese Society of Hematology, Japanese Society of Biochemistry and MolecularBiology, Turkish Society of Biochemistry, Ankara Science High School GraduatesAssociation.He had activities, such as reviewer, contribution to articles and publication, editor andmember of editorial board, in international journals indexed by SCI (Science CitationIndex) and non-SCI organizations. Prof. Dr. Serdar Bedii Omay's main areas of interest include "cellular therapies" and the "leukemia signaling system." He played a significant role in the establishment of the "Advanced Technology Cellular Facilities" at Karadeniz Technical University between 2005-2008. At Ege University, he has been involved in stem cell therapy research for patients awaiting late-stage heart transplants. He has been working at Emsey Hospital since 2015.
